Consider IT virtualization for your business
In a world where technology is continually advancing, it is important for businesses to invest in IT departments. However, for most small businesses and many medium-to-large ones as well, budgets for this kind of project are not unlimited.
This is where virtual IT departments come into play.
According to a white paper posted by InfoWorld, virtualization is highly popular among those businesses looking to benefit from IT without breaking the bank. A recent study by Forrester found that 70 percent of respondents said that they chose virtualization because it saved them from having to invest in expensive hardware that may or may not have been right for them. In addition, 52 percent said that they chose virtualization when it came time for a major system migration, such as an operating system upgrade. Finally, 51 percent said that they virtualized their servers in order the renew the license of a major software application.
Virtual IT departments benefit businesses long after the migration and setup processes are complete. As any internet user knows full well, unplanned system outages are a fact of life. These can be highly damaging to systems if they strike at the right moment, but virtual IT can protect against the worst effects and ensure that business users have all of their information and get back online as soon as possible to protect against loss of productivity.
This is why it is important for businesses to consider all of their options when thinking about investing in IT solutions.
